Sleepy Hollow's capturing of imagination

The short story of sleepy hollow was intended to make a thought that was only, well, a thought and turn it into a story grabbed by one writers imagination. Irving though did not just want his tale to be one that was here today gone tomorrow so what exactly did he do to make his story into one of the most memorable tales of not only his time but of all stories? Well one of the ideas that he decided to include in his story was that he would make it about a loner who awkwardly turns up out of nowhere with a love for this small community that sounds like it doesn't get many visitors, But nobody even bothers to see what benefits are available from this town but this famed Icabod crane takes full advantage of this little own and reaps what he sows. when we say takes advantage of I don't mean in a bad way, Icabod actually gives this town his share of the work while becoming a teacher in the local school so right there you have something that people in those times could long for is a teacher that comes from nowhere to an in need of help society and it also makes for a good story to tell while sitting at the fireplace. Our society sees this tale as a  wonderfully entertaining story and a great piece of literature. We'll also say that this story is a classic of past times since it was once much like for its uniqueness in setting, theme, and tone.

Swing Low Sweet Chariot Blog answer
When your life is put to music it goes by faster, there's almost like a science to it. This helped the slaves to pass work time by keeping their mind of their jobs and this specific tune id you will not only helped keep their minds of their forced occupation and and the hard times of life, But it also reminded them that after they were long gone from this world that they would have a place with no more pain or suffering. This song says a lot about the religious faith of  the people. This song has a lot in it that promotes God and the thoughts of the bible. This was because the slaves could only be expected to put their faith in something that says their will be no pain in the end. Anyways this song is all about a faithful savior coming to save those in pain. This song is noticeably from this time period because it was put into first of all a rhythm that is easy to clap and sing to (believe me I'm band). last of all this song relates all the way today because it shows fist of all the history of the Negros in this country and by this I am in no way trying to bash any races here, But what some people did in the times of early America were pretty harsh and I am only stating the facts, but it shows the history of them and what they have been through. It not only shows what they've been through but it also reminds us and them how far they have progressed in this united country.
