Gothic Writers Criticism of Human Nature
Writers of Gothic fiction like to question human nature and its play in life. One of the reasons that these authors ponder so much of the human nature is heir writing style. Somtimes this concept of human nature collides with what they are trying to emphasize on in their story because of the just plain out naturraly oddness of humans and how we function. They might say in this standpoint. What the character in this story (who is human) did was a dumb mistake because of A, B, and C. They like to question the humans ability to think because they deal so much with the supernatuarl in their witing that they start to think of their mind as more complex. I do not think this gives them the write to judge humans natural reactions or thoughts, but that is the nature of writing gothic. It takes you to where you start to think on a higher level.
